The Social Status x Nike Air Penny 2 is Playground-Ready

Alongside two colorways of the Nike Air Max Penny 1, Social Status is also putting their stamp on the Nike Air Penny 2 in two different colorways, and we get an official look at the Black/University Blue pair dropping this month.

The sneaker features a similar look to the OG Black/Royal colorway of the Air Penny 2 with some differences. Black nubuck upper is used with University Blue accenting found out the lining, Penny logo on the tongue, top eyelets, and Swoosh on the heel. The reflective oval on the lateral ankle replaces the Swoosh or Penny logo typically seen with co-branding of Social Status and Nike with the Social Status logo stitched in black with the Swoosh stitched in University Blue. The white midsole extends into the midfoot on the lateral side which features a forefoot Zoom Air unit and an Air Max unit seen in the heel. Lastly, a University Blue outsole finishes off the sneaker. The sneaker comes with some extra laces, as well as a “copper” hangtag of the Air Penny 2 and the box designed like a doll or action figure, paying homage to Lil’ Penny.
