First introduced back in 2010 as a small gathering of Dubai-based sneakerheads, music and art enthusiasts, Sole DXB has grown into a massive three-day event filled with sneaker exchanges, huge music acts, food and culture and more. Now, in its seventh installment, Sole DXB sees its theme that has canvassed all forms of culture shift to the influence of Japanese contemporary design.
Again calling the Dubai Design District home, Sole DXB 2017 works in conjunction with partners like Cadillac, Coca Cola and in association with Dubai Tourism. This year’s festivities will host the likes of Jeff Staple, Hiroshi Fujiwara, Pusha T, Kano, Goldlink, Melody Ehsani and many others.
The global street culture festival will take place starting on December 7 and go through December 9. Per tradition, the festival’s opening night will host a screening. This year’s showing will be the international premiere of Word is Bond, directed by Mass Appeal’s Chief Creative Officer, Sacha Jenkins.
