Jordan memorabilia will forever be a hot item. Whether sneakers, jerseys, or rookie cards, his Airness continues to headline items for collectors and hypebeasts alike.
Sotheby’s, the renowned auction house, recently announced a special auction that has something for everyone. Not only that, but the auction goes towards a good cause that’s close to home for the Jordan family.
The latest charitable online auction is offered by the James R. Jordan Foundation, which was started by Deloris Jordan in honor of her late husband. Full proceeds benefit the organization that is dedicated to empowering children and families in underserved communities through access to educational resources and knowledge, providing a pathway out of poverty.
The curated collection includes cufflinks, jerseys, and art. But these aren’t just any jerseys or accessories.
For example, the standout item from the auction is a single lot comprising a 2012 Michael Jordan x Converse Commemorative Pack and a practice-worn Michael Jordan Air Jordan Brand UNC Colors Jersey. The 2012 commemorative pack features an autographed North Carolina size 40 jersey as well as an autographed pair of the special edition Jordan x Converse Pro Leather sneakers in Michael’s size 13. Additionally included is Michael Jordan’s practice worn Air Jordan Brand jersey in his alma mater’s signature colors of Carolina blue and white, which is not available anywhere else.
Take a look at the entire collection in closer detail below. The items will be up for auction from Nov. 2-12 on Sotheby’s. Be sure to take a look and get your hands on some rare Air for a good cause.
