With Space Jam 2 slated to release next summer, LeBron James has finally revealed what the highly-anticipated sequel will be called.
James shared the title for the upcoming Space Jam sequel dubbed Space Jam: A New Legacy via a short social media video. Along with the title, the basketball superstar shared the franchise’s new revamped logo. The film is set for a 2021 release.
The long-awaited sequel to 1996’s classic hit Space Jam began filming in the Summer of 2019 and will see LeBron James taking on the pivotal lead which Michael Jordan originally filled. Black Panther director Ryan Coogler will act as the film’s producer, while Terence Nance will take on directing duties.
The ‘96 classic saw Jordan team up with the Looney Tunes to take on the Monstars in a game of basketball. In addition to James for the sequel, Eric Bauza will reportedly be taking over the roles of Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd from Billy West.
