Back in November 2018, a young Riley Morrison was searching the Under Armour website for a pair of Curry shoes in her size.

She was not only unable to place her size in Curry’s shoes but didn’t find a girls section on the webpage at all. Morrison took action.

In lieu of falling back and letting what is, be, she decided to write Steph a letter detailing her experience. He’d get the letter and take action himself, not only writing Riley back but calling on Under Armour to rectify this inequality for Riley and others. They did that and more.

Throughout 2019, Under Armour is celebrating those similar to Riley who stand up for equality, justice and opportunity for all through an initiative called United We Win. The initiative brings about the Under Armour Curry 6 Icon “United We Win” with Riley’s artwork sparking the shoe’s insole.

Sales of the Curry 6 “United We Win” will go toward a scholarship that the Stephen and Ayesha Curry Family Foundation and Under Armour have created to honor Riley’s courageousness. The scholarship recipient will be announced today, International Women’s Day.

The shoe also lands on this international holiday. The Under Armour Curry 6 Icon “United We Win” — as well as a United We Win t-shirt collection — is available at UA.com and the SC30 x Oakland pop-up shop located at 472 9th Street in downtown Oakland for $130 today.
