Update (03/30):

In September 2022, it was reported that Steph Curry and Under Armour were nearing a billion-dollar, lifetime deal for the guard that would extend beyond his playing days.

While the specifics of the deal are unknown, ESPN reports that UA and Curry have signed a long-term contract extension that has the “potential to be a lifetime deal,” according to Under Armour founder Kevin Plank.

According to ESPN, Curry’s new Under Armour deal could be one of the richest-ever endorsement deals in sports (annual base pay, stock equity, royalties, performance bonuses, etc.).

In addition to the deal, Curry has been named president of the Curry Brand which launched in 2020 as an extension of the Under Armour brand. In doing so, Curry will receive additional resources to grow the namesake brand.

Belief is a big part of who I am on and off the court.

I believe in Under Armour and Curry Brand, the team now in place, and what we’re doing together. We share a vision for a big future ahead.

The Curry Brand will go continue to grow with Steph at the helm and other endorsed athletes down the road as Curry’s legacy with UA will enter a new phase.

A lot of work goes into what we do daily and thinking about how we can make it even bigger and broader. I’m just proud that we’ve gotten to this point.

Now, the real work begins.

Steph Curry and Under Armour are ready to make history as the Golden State Warriors guard is nearing a lifetime deal with the brand that could be worth upwards of $1 billion, according to Rolling Stone.

Curry joined UA in 2013 and has since launched a multitude of signature shoes and even the Curry Brand, which operates as its own entity under UA’s umbrella (akin to Michael Jordan’s Jordan Brand and Nike).

With four NBA championships to his name and recently becoming the all-time leader in 3-pointers made in the regular season, Curry continues to aim high.

Details on the reported lifetime deal are still unknown, but talks reportedly could be finalized in October. Curry’s current $215 million deal with UA ends in 2024.
