According to a recent report by TechCrunch, StockX was hacked back in May with over 6.8 million records stolen from the site.
This intel was provided to TechCrunch by a data breached seller, with stolen information matching that of all StockX users that were reportedly reached out to.

It’s suggested that the recent password update email sent out by StockX this past week was in response to said hack though was presented as a ‘system update’ prompt.
