Following the Nike Air Zoom Flight 95 in 2022 and Nike Air Foamposite collaboration in 2014, Supreme has decided to dig into Nike’s ’90s basketball catalog yet again with the classic Nike Air Bakin silhouette.
Once clouded in controversy, the Nike Air Bakin was recalled in 1997 due to the Nike Air logo on the back of the heel resembling the Arabic spelling of ‘Allah.’ Nike reformatted the heel font to the Nike Air logo with the release of the 2007 and 2013 retro editions.
Both of Supreme’s Nike Air Zoom Flight 95 and Nike Air Foamposite collaborations released in solid colorways covered in Versace-inspired and paisley print respectively. Supreme switches it up for Spring/Summer 2023, this time with a yellow-to-purple gradient upper and black base for one pair and an all-white pair completing the pack.
Both Supreme x Nike Air Bakin colorways will drop on March 2 via us.supreme.com. The pair will then drop in Japan on March 4. Each pair will retail for $160. Keep it locked to our Sneaker Release Dates Calendar for updates.
