The Jordan Melo M6 first released in the fall of 2006 as superstar Carmelo Anthony sixth signature sneaker. That year’s Future Sole competition challenged high school designers to design a new upper for a shoe that utilized the Melo M6’s Zoom Air carriage and tooling. 17-year old Austin Jermacans designed to the new version of the shoe, which included a forefoot strap and cross-stitched ankle support panel.
