Japanese label TheSoloist. gets its hands on the Converse ERX 260 for the brand’s latest collaboration.

A sneaker that has been the subject of several collaborations as of late, is seen here in a sleek noir sensibility that calls out its collaborator with sharp directness in its branding.

Joining leather and suede construction with a zipper at the shoe’s center which leans into a punk-rock theme, “I Am The Soloist” stands firm and steady at the tongue. A similar message appears through the translucent outsole.

The shoe, when zipped, is much slimmer and appears more modern. Converse’s ERX 260 is a bit wide — as it should be given the era in which its shell was produced.

A newness is presented through this collaboration which is set to release at a pop-up shop beginning March 9 through March 22.
