adidas Taps the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for a “Shelltoe” Superstar

Since being introduced to the public in 1970, adidas’ Superstar has embedded itself as a cultural icon. Throughout the years, the model has seen numerous reworks and collaborative takes alongside some of the biggest names and franchises. 2024 is no different as the Three Stripes has now tapped the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for a “Shelltoe” colorway.

The upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x adidas Superstar “Shelltoe” will mark the 40^th anniversary of the beloved franchise, which made its comic book debut in 1984. The celebratory pair literally nods to the crime fighters with its vibrant green upper and turtle shell pattern on the signature shell toe. Further paying homage to the TMNT are the “Ninja Power” verbiage on the tongue, monogram lace charms representing each turtle, and special sock liners. On top of that, each pair arrives in a box reminiscent of action figures and an exclusive comic book.
