The return of “Nike Air” script on the Air Jordan 3 ’88 in 2013 was a big deal. Released to pay tribute to MJ’s iconic free throw line dunk, the shoe, while widely revered, was extremely limited and beyond difficult to secure. Thankfully, you’ll have another shot to secure nostalgic “Nike Air” branded Jordans. But it won’t be the Air Jordan 3 ’88, but the Air Jordan 4 ’89.
It has been confirmed by multiple sources, including Sole Collector, that the Air Jordan 4 White/Cement will return in 2016. With “Nike Air” script in tow for the first time since 1999, the shoe is reported to embark on a $220-$250 price point, a significant jump from today’s $190 retail price. It’s also said that the Air Jordan 4 ’89 will release sometime in February next year.
