The Bad – RF’s Kicks Banned for Being Too Bold
After Roger Federer’s first match at Wimbledon, his orange soled Nike Zoom Vapor 9 Tour LEs were banned for being too bright and conflicting with the All England Club’s strict dress code. Fed donned more neutral Vapor 9s in his next match, which he ended up losing. The sole shade swap was not the source of the King of Grass’ downfall, but hopefully the controversy and outcome won’t stop Fed from donning eye-catching versions of his tennis shoe in the future.
