After Comcast SportsNet reported that Jeremy Lin has chosen to leave Nike for adidas, many across the web began predicting injury for the Houston Rockets guard. While Derrick Rose’s recent injuries have unfortunately kept him off the hardwood and out of the adidas D Rose 4, are we really still making direct correlations between sneaker brands and player injuries? Rose’s line continues to be worn by a number of other elite NBA athletes, and the D Rose 4.5 is sure to continue the line’s popularity. At the end of the day, when it comes to player injuries, it’s not the shoes.
