Japanese artist Kosuke Sugimoto, better known as Shoetree, has reimagined some iconic Nike and Jordan silhouettes as homes for plants with a botanical sneaker.
The “Justification for Deterioration” pop-up is now open to the pubic at Harajuku’s Ciaopanic boutique. Whether a grail or an old beater, the pop-up brings new life into an old sneaker by becoming part of the plant rather than a placeholder for it.
