1998 NBA Finals
The Air Jordan 14 made its debut during the 1998 NBA Finals. With the Chicago Bulls fully submersed within its second finals matchup against the Utah Jazz, many sneaker enthusiast were suprised to see the sudden unveiling of the newest Air Jordan. With speculation running rampant involving his impending retirement, Michael was able to help lead the Chicago Bulls to its sixth NBA championship, by defeating the Utah Jazz in six games. In what some may argue is his greatest shot, Michael was able shake free from defender Byron Russell in the closing seconds of game six, and capitalize, by sinking a gorgeous top-of-the-key jumper that remains entrenched in NBA lore. Making the moment even more special, Micheal was able to do all of this while sporting a prestine pair of the Black and Varsity-Red Air Jordan 14.
