The crowning achievement of the Nike Air Garnett line was undoubtedly the third installment in 1999. Breaking new ground with Tuned Air cushioning, the Nike Air Garnett 3 was backed by memorable television spots leaning towards the aforementioned playful nature of Garnett. Of course, the shoe was retroed in 2015 and dubbed the Nike Air LE 3 as Garnett had long left the brand for stints with And 1, adidas and ANTA. The Garnett 3 remains his greatest signature model, and a jumping off point for his next move with Nike from a technical standpoint – pushing the innovative Flightposite series.
