The NBA Lockout shortened the 1998-99 season to being, well, just the 1999 season with only 50 games. The Spurs led by veteran David Robinson and young talent Tim Duncan strolled through the Playoffs and past the Knicks en route to the franchises first NBA Championship.??
Enough about the team from San Antonio, time for info about the shoes. Of all the NBA Hall of Famers to never have their own signature shoe, David Robinson without a doubt had the best lineup of shoes that he wore on court. Like with many years, The Admiral wore a handful of big men shoes from the Nike Basketball lineup in the ’99 season, but one of of the shoes he did wear was the Nike Air Aggress Force. The Aggress Force was built for a big man and had nothing to hide. The Total Air brought ultimate cushioning while cosmetic touches of faux carbon fiber on the rear panel showed off the shoes strength of stability. Like with many greats from the late 90’s, we will likely never see them again as a retro, but should be on your list if you happen to stumble upon them. |
