Nike’s Leading Man
By the early 1990’s, Ken Griffey Jr. was arguably the best player within the entire MLB. With his flashy style and electric plays within the outfield, it seemed as though Nike had their leading man. Sporting the Nike Diamond Fury during most of the early 90s, specifically in 1994. Nike looked to create a versatile silhouette for Jr. as he ventured into his 7th season in the Majors.
Thus, the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 would be created.
