In 1991, star of the Back To The Future series Michael J. Fox began having symptoms of the early-onset Parkinson’s Disease. By 1998, Fox had come public with his illness and subsequently started the Michael J. Fox Foundation. With the hopes of helping Fox, noted designers began the process of re-designing the iconic sneaker.
