Coming out of Memphis State, or better known today as the University of Memphis, Hardaway garnered much attention as his rare blend of size and skill created mismatches for opponents. Hardaway would go on to be selected by the Golden State Warriors with the 3rd pick in the 1993 NBA Draft. However, Hardaway would never see time in the Bay Area as the stellar guard became apart of a historic draft day trade that would eventually land him in Orlando.
