Somehow destiny has been making me travel on Thursdays lately, but that’s no excuse for making all of your wait until next week for Throwback Thursday!
In the midst of prime innovation of technology for Nike Basketball, the Air Max2 cushioning system was created. The second generation of Air Max featured two chambers of heel Air Max with a stronger bag around the outside of the heel and a softer bag on the inside creating a system that not only provided ultimate Air Max cushioning, but also provided unparalleled heel support.
The Air Max2 may be best known for its placement in Barkley’s sneakers, but it made its way into a few other gems. Like the Air Max2 CB34, the Air Max2 Uptempo featured elastic straps across the shoe’s upper holding it to the person’s foot. This colorway made its mark on the feet of the Duke Blue Devils in the 1995 season. Get a better look at this classic piece of ingenuity. These came back only a year or two ago, did you grab? |
