Nice Kicks recently took its hat off to one of the greatest centers in NBA history by commemorating David Robinson’s 71-point scoring performance against the L.A. Clippers on April 24, 1994. Because he drastically raised professional basketball’s bar of expectations on the court, we decided to revisit Mr. Robinson’s neighborhood off the court in this Throwback Thursday feature. Though Robinson had a series of “Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood” commercials in the early ’90s, this ad is particularly special because the fierce competitor festively name drops his opponents (i.e. Moses Malone, Michael Jordan, and Charles Barkley) while opening gifts. Advertising the Air Force 180 High, check out the clip below for this iconic commercial. ?Do you remember the time….?
