The New Era: 2010-Present
During the mid-2000s the Air Jordan 9 took a bit of a hiatus within the NFL as Jordan Brand’s main endorser of Terrell Owens opted for other models such as the Air Jordan 3, 6 and 7. However, by 2010 the new wave of Jordan Brand endorsers brought some life back into the ninth Air Jordan silhouette as Michael Crabtree, Hakeem Nicks and Andre Johnson all spent time in the silo.
In addition to the aforementioned trio, Josh Freeman during his tenure with the Buccaneers also donned a pewter and grey PE of the model.
