From the Chi, Tim Hardaway broke onto the scene as a lightning quick point guard.? Before Allen Iverson repped the hardest crossover in the league, Hardway was the go-to ankle breaker known for his “Killer Crossover” and “UTEP Two-Step”.? As a Golden State Warrior, Hardaway ran the uptempo offense as the leader of their fast break.? “Run TMC”, a nickname for the Warriors trio (Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond, and Chris Mullin), excited Bay Area fans for much of the early 90’s.? Hardaway was later traded to the Miami Heat where he would team up with Alonozo Mourning.? Hardaway’s play made the Heat a force in the East through the 1990’s but had no luck outmatching Jordan’s Bulls.? Hardaway bounced around after his tenure with the Heat but will be known most for his brilliant point guard play in Golden State and Miami.
Tim Hardaway was endorsed by Nike and was a major signee in their Flight campaign.? Aside from wearing numerous Flight and Uptempo sneakers, Hardaway is widely regarded for wearing the Nike Air Bakin.? The Air Bakin was infamous for the loud colorway employed and publicized recall due to the resemblance of the “Air” logo on the heel to Allah written in Arabic.? He was also given a signature shoe called the Nike Air Zoom T-Bug Flight.? The T-Bug Flight was equipped with Zoom Air cushioning and zipped up over the laces.? Hardaway was not given a signature follow up to the T-Bug Flights but continued to wear Nike’s throughout his career.
