Spots all across the country held events celebrating the launch of the Air Jordan 11 “Concord” today, but only the new LEED Platinum Niketown in Portland, Oregon had the shoe’s famed designer, Tinker Hatfield, signing boxes and greeting fans. Hundreds of sneakerheads flooded downtown Portland yesterday to get a wristband for the event, which promised a pair of Concords and a chance to meet Tinker. This morning at 7AM, small groups of Jordan faithful were then allowed into the store to cop their pairs and get the box signed by the man responsible for designing MJ’s most iconic shoes. Check out our photos of the event below, including an inside look at Nike’s newest, most environmentally friendly store at the heart of the Rose City.
