Sneakers have, and will continue to be, inspired by just about anything. Lately, we have gathered information on a couple of bear-themed sneakers that are set to release in the near future (see Sneaker Showdown: “Bears”). However, there has been an abundance of bear-themed sneakers that have surfaced in recent years including the “Three Bears” Nike SB Dunk Pack and the Nike Dunk Hi Premium “Ueno Panda”.
With that said, check out our Too Much to Bear: History of Bear-Inspired Kicks. After viewing this feature, let us know your favorite bear-themed sneaker in the comment section below.
Nike Dunk Hi Premium TZ “Ueno Panda”
Year Released: July 2008
This Dunk Hi Premium was the fourth installment of the Nike Dunk “Japan” Pack. It was dedicated to Tokyo?s Ueno Park, home of Ling Ling, the Giant Panda. The upper consisted of 100% horse hair in a Panda bear-like black/white color scheme. However, the shoe being packaged in a cage instead of a shoe box is easily its most intriguing feature.
