5. Cam Newton
Brand: Under Armour
Draft: 2011 NFL Draft
Selection: Number One Overall
Signature Model: Under Armour C1N
After leading Auburn to a National Championship and garnering the Heisman Trophy, Cam Newton decided to forgo his collegiate eligibility to enter the 2011 NFL Draft. Amid a bevy of questions surrounding controversial matters dating back to his time at the University of Florida, the Carolina Panthers and Under Armour decided to take a chance on Newton as they crowned him their leading man. Since entering the league, Newton has sported a variety of UA models including his signature silhouette the C1N.
Arriving in an abundance of hues, Newton has been seen in eclectic colors as well as a Superman inspired makeup and a Charlotte Hornets PE. Although strict NFL uniform regulations prohibits Newton from sporting them in the game, big things should arrive between UA and Newton, in the near future.
