photo by Extra Butter NY2008 saw the design debut of Taka Hayashi for Vans Vault. While early work would showcase playful prints, later designs would blur the lines between sneaker and dress shoe, followed up by rustic renditions of timeless skate silos. Taka’s teaming with Vans Vault helped elevate the line while representing the range VV is known for.
