Tracy McGrady‘s relationship with adidas Basketball is nearing its end, according to T-Mac himself.
During a panel with Hashtag Sports, T-Mac discussed his basketball league, Ones Basketball League, when his adidas deal was brought up.
McGrady stated that the adidas deal could be coming to an end.
“It’s rocky,” McGrady said. “I’ve been with adidas for 25 years. I think we’re coming to an end. Tweet it. Put it on Instagram. Whatever you want to do, I don’t give a shit. The treatment that I’ve gotten from them over the last 10 years is what it is. I deserve better. It’s coming to an end.”
McGrady went on to explain where part of the resentment stemmed from.
“This is why I have this attitude. When I started OBL (Ones Basketball League), I was told I couldn’t pull this off by adidas — that’s why I feel that way.”
McGrady and his signature shoe line continue to be an important part of the adidas Basketball line as the adidas T-Mac 1, adidas T-Mac 2, and adidas T-Mac 3 have been retroed in old and new colorways for the last few years.
