This week in Portland, Oregon, local streetwear brand Trillblazin is teaming up with downtown boutique Unspoken to highlight the Trail Blazers’ lone NBA championship, celebrating the oft-important 41st anniversary of the 1977 title.
Dubbed “It Must Have Been the Roses,” the Tuesday evening event will play off of the city’s longtime “Rose City” nickname, with a series of custom dip dyed Nike items available on hand in a giveaway. Headlined by a rose-themed Air Force 1 Low, the sneaker is dipped by hand for a custom hue, while accented by gold embroidered logos along the tongue and heel tabs, honoring the franchise’s championship.
The AF1s will be given to customers who purchase three Trillblazin items during the event, such as their new tie dyed Grateful Dead and Bill Walton-inspired tee. With the purchase of one Trillblazin item, customers will receive a pair of custom tie dyed Nike Basketball shorts or socks. The sneakers and shorts will be available on a first come, first served basis. There will also be a custom inkjet printer for people to customize items even further.
