Under Armour has announced its first-ever women’s performance basketball sneaker.

The Under Armour HOVR Breakthru went through extensive testing and feedback thanks to WNBA rookies Bella Alarie, Kaila Charles, and Tyasha Harris. The shoe consists of a mesh upper and synthetic overlays for breathability and functionality for the hardwood. In addition to that, the sneaker is tailored to the specific needs of a women’s foot with its arch shape, narrower ankle collars/heels, double-layered heel and dual-density sock liner for extra durability/support, and tongue webbing for easier entry.

The HOVR Breakthru makes history on September 17 as the silhouette will be available via UnderArmour.com and select retailers. Cheers to the future of women’s ball.
