Chris Gibbs’ Union Los Angeles will release another collab next year, sources tell Nice Kicks.

Union Los Angeles is revisiting the Air Jordan 1 for the upcoming Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Chicago” colorway.

The latest between Union and the Jumpman revisits the 2018 theme of bringing two OG Air Jordan 1 colorways into one.

In the fall of 2018, Union released the “Black Toe” (with a “Neutral Grey” collar) and the “Storm Blue” (with a “Bred” collar). The next iteration will reportedly combine the “Chicago” base with a “Shadow” upper.

The Union LA x Air Jordan 1 capsule was monumental, fusing vintage aesthetics with modern touches. In doing so, the collection quickly became a cultural icon, celebrated for its craftsmanship, attention to detail, and storytelling.

Who can forget Union selling the pair early at the Rose Bowl Flea Market and people thinking they were fakes?

Thereafter, the Union x Air Jordan 1s immediately and profoundly impacted sneaker culture, revitalizing interest in the Air Jordan 1, and demonstrating that collaborations could breathe new life into classic silhouettes. In doing so, the release set a new standard for future partnerships.

Both sneakers include Union’s yellow stitching on the collar, combining the colorways. Additionally, the pairs featured custom tags, pre-aged midsoles, and special packaging.

The upcoming Union LA x Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” will carry the same design and storytelling principles.

The Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Chicago” releases February 12, 2025 via Store.UnionLosAngeles.com, Union’s LA location, SNKRS, and select retailers.
