Earlier today in Akron, Ohio, local hometown kid LeBron James officially unveiled his thirteenth Nike Basketball signature shoe. The new LeBron 13, designed by Jason Petrie, features a combination of zonal molded HyperPosite throughout the composite mesh upper. There’s also helpings of dynamic Flywire through the lacing system and an articulated collar.

With fit and function in mind, if you look closely, you’ll notice that the tongue is actually attached above the midfoot, making for less stitching and distractions on the underside of the toe box. Underfoot, you’ll find a Hex Zoom-based cushioning setup, with larger 13 mm sized Zoom bags in both the heel and forefoot. Each unit also features distinct text called out on the outsole, like “LeBron James | Akronite” along with his “12/1984” birthdate.

The shoe is priced at $200 and will launch on October 1st in China, with a stateside release following shortly after on October 10th in the US.
