While information regarding the forthcoming Nike LeBron 14 has been scarce at best, one new aesthetic detail is revealed today by an ESPN reporter.
During a shootaround in Cleveland this morning, ESPN’s Dave McMenamin reported that James was warming up in an all-black pair of LeBron 14’s but removed them before reporters could come in and take photos. McMenamin also remarked that the shoe doesn’t look like the pair that leaked earlier this summer and features a strap.
Check out McMenamin’s full quote below and be sure to watch the Cavs vs. Clippers game tonight on TNT. James might just debut the Nike LeBron 14.
“LeBron James wore an all black pair of the yet-to-be-released Nike LeBron 14 to shootaround Thursday but took them off before talking to the press so reporters couldn’t snap photos of them. They don’t look like the images that leaked in August at all. James let ESPN.com inspect them, as long as we promised not to take a photo, and they are very sharp. One clue to what to expect when they drop in January: strap.”
