After four months and with entries from over a plethora of different high schools across the United States, Vans revealed the top five entries for their ninth annual Custom Culture competition on Monday.
Here are the top five designs that are still in the running for the $75,00 grand prize:
- Fontainebleu High School (Mandeville, LA)
- Hixson High School (Hixson, TN)
- Larned High School (Larned, KS)
- Middle Township High School (Cape May Courhouse, NJ)
- Moanalua High School (Honolulu, HI)
“The top five finalists for this year’s competition truly captured the essence of what Vans is all about –creative expression,” said Megan Klempa, Custom Culture Program Manager in a release. “Thanks to communities across the countries, we’re able to give even more funding to these talented students and push their talents and capabilities even further.”
Vans will select the winner of the competition during the week of May 14. The winning school will receive the $75,000 grand prize, which is for arts education, as well as a lunch party courtesy of Vans. The four other runner-ups will receive a $10,000 check for arts education and a limited-edition gift from Vans.
