Although Jordan Brand can largely be credited for pushing the satin sneaker trend into popular culture, other brands have adopted the theme and done so exceptionally well. Vans comes to mind as one of those companies, further referenced through its upcoming satin patchwork offering.

Utilizing three foundational silhouettes — the Sk8-Hi, the Authentic and the Slip-On — Vans covers each classic model in a variety of prints including their time-honored checkerboard palette. Dressed over top is lush satin embroidery in floral graphics that uniquely, even if indirectly, tie back to coveted Japanese aesthetics seen through traditional satin bomber jackets and other culturally binding garments.

Each shoe is finished with customary white midsole tooling and a sporty gum outer. The Vans Satin Patchwork Pack drops this June at select retailers.
