For some reason or other, Crocs are back and bigger than ever, making an undeniable influence on brands everywhere. It seems that influence has finally made its way to Vans, with their new Vans Slip-On TRK.
Vans makes a good case for the Slip-On TRK as they claim it’s an adventure shoe that you can take with you anywhere saying, “Sandals aren’t for everyone, but wearing shoes to the beach isn’t always ideal, either—and that’s why we’ve welcomed the Slip-On TRK to the Vans family. Just go surf, rinse, then repeat.”
The Slip-On TRK prides itself in being a flexible, rinsible, and comfortable version of the beloved Slip-On Vans. The TRK honors its heritage with a reverse waffle sole and small square cutouts that nod to Vans’ iconic checkerboard design. The reverse waffle sole works to give the TRK extra comfort, while the cutouts double as functions for breathability and drainage holes. Customer reviews on the Vans website rate the Slip-On TRK a 4.4 out of 5 stars, so it seems that Crocs might have some competition coming their way.
As of now, the Slip-On TRK only comes in adult sizes and is available in shades of “Grape Leaf” and “Pewter.” We’re sure it won’t be long until full family sizing is available, with a variety of colors and maybe even charms.
The Vans Slip-On TRK is available now on vans.com, for a retail price of $55. Be sure to follow @NiceKicks for more sneaker news and updates.
