Vans was founded by brothers Paul and James Van Doren, and was originally titled “The Van Doren Rubber Company.” In recent years, the brand has maintained a progressive “Van Doren” Collection that pays homage to the early years of the brand. The latest from the ongoing collection is the seventh installment, the Vans “Spirit of the ’80s” Van Doren Collection. This new slew of silhouettes continues to utilize the brand’s unique patterns for individual styling with a six-shoe set. Channeling the spirit of the 1980s, the Palm Leaf, Camo, Checker and Animal prints are reissued onto the iconic Vans Sk8-Hi, Vans Era and Vans Slip-On. Retailing for $50-65 a piece, this entire ’80s collection is available nationwide today, including at Vans.com.
