Vans to Re-Issue Four Band Collaborations at SXSW

Vans reaches into the vault to bring back four different collaborations from the past, which will be exclusively available at their South By Southwest showcase. Music has always been one of the brand’s main focuses, with the Vans Warped Tour currently America’s longest-running music tour and a rich history of music-inspired releases. Four of their most iconic band models are set to make a return, only the second collection to ever make a retro run. The first pair in the quartet is the Circle Jerks Vans Old Skool, originally released in 2007 with all-over canvas and Group Sex artwork, inspired by the band’s 1980 debut album. Next in line is the Motörhead II Vans Rowley Classic, a blacked out rendition from 2006. Third is the Bad Brains Vans Sk8-Hi from 2009, which features a black and yellow lightning bolt design. Finishing the collection is the Rise Against Classic Slip-On, a 2010 release that highlights the band’s Appeal to Reason album.

Get to the Vans Village and the House of Vans during SXSW, and get a release a day from March 12th to March 15th. Each re-issue will come in 150 pairs, with 50 exclusive to the pop-up shop at the Vans Village, and the next 100 hitting Vans.com the following day.
