As the original action sports footwear brand, Vans knows all about reinvention. Once again Vans revises their footwear lineup with the brand new UltraRange VR3. This sneaker is apart of Vans’ efforts to introduce more sustainable products to the sneaker industry and beyond.

For its grand debut, the Vans UltraRange VR3 comes in colorways of “Chive” and “Cobblestone.” Both iterations have a knit upper that features a cement print that matches the sneaker’s textured midsole. The Vans Sidestripe appears in crisp white, which corresponds with the branding on the tongue tag.

The Vans UltraRange VR3 follows strict material guidelines to ensure that the sneaker is made with regenerative and recycled materials that make up at least 30% of the silhouette. The upper is made with a knitted fabric from a blend of organic cotton, recycled PET, and recycled nylon. Compared to Vans’ standard cut-and-sew uppers, this sneaker is designed to reduce production waste. The sneaker’s EcoCush midsole has been re-engineered to be made of at least 50% biobased EVA foam, partially derived from plant-based sources. The shoe also features Vans’ new EcoWaffle rubber that is made with responsibly sourced natural rubber.

The Vans UltraRange VR3 is available now. To purchase, visit Vans retail locations and vans.com/urvr3. The retail price is set at $120. For more sneaker news and release dates, follow @NiceKicks on Twitter.
