Vans Vault is issuing a new model for 2010 with the Standard Issue Hi LX. It’s based on the classic Sk8-Hi model, but with new paneling along the upper. Rather than stick just to the standard canvas construction, suede is used on the midfoot, toe and heel in matching hues with the rest of the shoe. Canvas is used still though, as the material finishes the uppers’ make-ups. Boot inspirations are also used, as seen in the eyelets. Cord laces and a ribbed ankle area also add to the boot aesthetic, but the white vulcanized soles make it clear that these are still Vans. Red, blue and black colorways will be available starting next month. |
