While these days he doesn’t color up too many of the original Jordans that he famously created long ago, former Oregon Duck student-athlete Tinker Hatfield took the reigns on styling this pair of Air Jordan IVs made just for the U of O football team in 2012.

A longtime season ticket holder at Autzen Stadium, for more than thirty years Tinker would make the 90-minute drive south on I-5 to attend Ducks games with his best friend Doug McClain and their wives. After Doug unfortunately passed away earlier in 2012, Tinker was compelled to create a commemorative sneaker that would not only serve as a collectible keepsake for the team’s current football players, but also pay tribute to his childhood friend.

Check out the Oregon Ducks-exclusive Air Jordan Retro 4 in detail below, and be on the lookout for more features of some top shelf sneakers on the way.
