To celebrate today’s birthday of the technology, we revisit The Reinvention of Air Max, a visual story of the series’ history and future. Illustrator and designer Matt Stevens collaborated with Nike Sportswear last year to create a digital project that played off of his collectible book MAX100. The book features a compilation of visual interpretations of the Nike Air Max 1, the greatest sneaker of all time in Stevens’ mind. Lucky for those of us who haven’t tracked down the hard copy, the book is integrated into the video, along with new images of the Air Max 90, 95, and 97. Matt Stevens actually started the #AIRMAX campaign that is accompanying today’s “Air Max Day”. Check out the creative video underneath, and tell keep Nice Kicks flashing for all of your sneaker needs.
