Kobe Bryant’s newest signature sneaker, the Nike Kobe 9 Elite, is the first basketball sneaker to incorporate Flyknit for the hardwood. Although the threaded upper was originally created to increase mobility and provide a sock-like fit, Nike insists that it is as strong as anything when it comes to support. Tightly wound, the Kobe 9’s one-piece upper provides lightweight strength in the forefoot for maximum performance. Watch the video above that shows the Black Mamba in action raising and coming down from a jumper in the Nike Kobe 9 Elite, and tell us what you think the support of the model will be like when they release for the first time February 8th for $225.
