Before his Coachella DJ set which began with a cinematic play of Phil Collins’ “In the Air,” Virgil Abloh added a little fuel to his Coachella Valley appearance by previewing a budding OFF-WHITE x Nike sneaker.
The predominately black sneaker features a weathered suede over a silhouette that appears to be an elder cross-trainer. There are some remnants to Nike’s new Air Zoom Terra Kiger although it appears what Abloh was wearing at Coachella was something different entirely.
True to “The Ten” aesthetics yet certainly of its own volition, this new Virgil creation sits atop a pink spiked outsole. The forest green zip cord is the first of its color type which could signify a new series ahead. Or, more simply, just a color Virgil is into at the moment.
Grab a first look at this new OFF-WHITE x Nike sneaker and stay tuned for additional details.
Update 4/24: First seen at Coachella in a Black/Pink colorway, Virgil Abloh’s new OFF WHITE x Nike sneaker is seen in a second colorway today. This pair operates with a White/Beige upper pairing suede overlays with a polka-dot tongue. Exaggerated traction grips give the low-top silhouette added height while a Volt toe bumper accents the shoe greatly. Release details for this new silhouette remain unknown.
