Japanese brand visvim is often recognized for their unconventional yet effective footwear designs. Models like the FBT are often revered as the most formidable and avant-garde creations of their brand history.
Now, though, in conjunction with their spring/summer 2016 collection, visvim introduces the sports-specific Roland Jogger. Here, lead designer Hiroki Nakamura molds fine Italian Rimonta mesh construction against vegetable tanned suede overlays for a contemporary and sporty aesthetic. Nakamura continues with his custom Vibram sole implementation below, while smart branding appears at the tongue, paneling and heel.
Continuing to expand their evolved palette and innovate in areas where the brand is yet to explore, the visvim Roland Jogger cleverly journals vintage American footwear with a carefully curated Japanese sentiment. Pairs are available now for $582 here.
