Warren Sapp was one of the first NFL players to sport Jordan Brand cleats in Pro Bowl fashion. The Hall of Fame defensive tackle recently sold the majority of his large kick collection for $6,390 at his bankruptcy auction. The Connecticut man that won the auction paid $30 a pair for the size 15 sneakers. While most of the auctioned pairs are a mix of recent retros and releases of the Team Jordan variety, there were some standouts in the lot, including the “Doernbecher” Air Jordan 4s, the “Aqua” Air Jordan 8s and “Concord” Air Jordan 11s. It is also noted by TMZ that only 213 pairs of a claimed 240 pairs were auctioned, meaning that another 27 will either be kept by Sapp or auctioned individually.
