Sneaker fans rejoice as West NYC and Mache Customs are bringing back the celebrated “Alpine Guide” colorway.

This time around, Dan Gamache, known by his moniker Mache, is working with the beloved retailer to help re-tell the classic story on his very own Mache Runner V2 silhouette. The OG color scheme, which was showcased on the collaborative West NYC x New Balance MT580 over 10 years ago, returns in all its glory.

The OG “Alpine Guide” was inspired by West NYC’s owner, Lester Wasserman’s, affinity for the outdoors. The West NYC x Mache Runner V2 “Alpine Guide” features the same grey, aqua, and purple hues modeled after 90s ski apparel. The pair, made from nubuck leather and suede, is additionally rounded off with a speckled midsole below, two-tone hiking-inspired laces, and Mache branding on the outsoles.

On the collaboration, the renowned custom sneaker designer shared he “had this mixed sense of excitement and validation” but “for [West NYC] to have faith in little ol’ me and my little ol’ brand just tells me I’m onto something.”

Interested fans will be able to cop their own West NYC x Mache Runner V2 “Alpine Guide” this Saturday, October 28 via a special pop-up at West NYC. Stores open at 10 am EST. Pairs will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and will retail for $300. Each pair comes with collectors’ cards, extra black laces, and a dust bag.

For those who live out of town, Mache will hold a pre-order online via MacheCustoms.com. Keep it locked here for details.
