The holiday season brings about some of the most profound gestures imaginable. With the good energy flowing in so many directions, the holiday spirit seemingly visited the Westlake Chaparrals of Austin, Texas as the entire football team is slated to donate their newly received Nike Vapor Untouchable II cleats.
With the Chaparrals set to compete for a Texas 6A State Championship this weekend, Nike made an extravagant visit to the team on Monday in which they provided the cleats to the team via Mclaren Mp4-12c and helicopter delivery.
Although the feats of Nike we’re greatly appreciated by Westlake, the team decided it would be best to donate the cleats to a “less fortunate school” as coach Todd Dodge would explain further to the Austin American Statesman. Dodd would state, “it was a captain’s decision… they thought it would be better to give than to receive. We told Nike how appreciative we were and that we would be donating the cleats to another program in due time.”
Best of luck to the Chaparrals this weekend.
